A new project named the TipTaeTip Challange has been set up by Ross Gemmell, Southern Upland Ranger. It takes in the Mull of Galloway Trail as the link to Scotland's most southerly point and includes the Southern Upland Way to Wanlockhead. It continues to New Lanark then takes in the Clyde Walkway, Kelvin Walkway, West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, John o' Groats Trail and finally part of the North Highland Way ending at Dunnet Head which is the most northerly point on the mainland. The total length is around 520 miles with the aim being to attract more users to the trails in Scotland and create a long-distance challenge.
